Uniq Solutions currently offer several gateways to meet our customer’s requirements.
Our gateways send your live information via GPRS (a mobile phone sim card) or Ethernet ( your company broadband line).
The most common preference is to use the sim card option. This removes the requirement for your IT department to spend time on the solution or concerns over security issues using your company’s private networks.
All data is transferred using SSL encryption which is the same as most major banks. Although your meter readings, temperatures etc. may not be critical on a security level, we still believe your personal data deserves protecting. Your data is username and password protected.
Our current gateways have two main formats, one is DIN rail mount and the second is panel mount which can be fixed to a flat service. They require a 9w-24w dc power supply and the ability to receive a GSM signal where the sim option is chosen. Antenna extensions are available if required for basements, etc.
One of the main differences between the gateways is the amount of channels they can communicate with. The simple way to understand a channel is each piece of information logged & delivered, i.e. Kwh’s, Amp’s, or Kw’s for a circuit, a temperature or piece of input information. Each piece of information is a single channel. In addition to logging the information additional channels allow for further parameters to be visualised or displayed on a dashboard. Alarms can be configured to send emails or SMS alerts when certain criteria or conditions are reached. Live Icons also allow for visual alarms to be displayed on the customised dashboards. Where required multiple gateways can be configured across a single site or company’s property portfolio.
I/O’s Input Outputs
Our gateways offer a variety of both digital and analog I/O’s. The on-board I/O’s allow our customers far more functionality to control and receive information remotely. Wether you want to know when a door is open or a machine has a fault, the information is relayed to you in seconds. If you want to turn the heating up or switch the lights off, a simple click from your mobile phone or tablet and it’s done.
